Dato’ Mohd Salleh bin Mahmud


Dato’ Mohd Salleh bin Mahmud graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree in Accounting in 1975. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from University Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is an honorary member of CPA Australia.

Dato’ Mohd Salleh started his career as an accountant in the EPU before being transferred to Telekom Department in year 1980 as a senior accountant. Two years later, he was transferred to be the Chief Accountant at the pensions division, Public Services Department in 1981 before being Director, Pension Trust Fund Secretariat from 1991. Dato’ Mohd Salleh was later appointed to be the Deputy Accountant General (Operations) from 1996 till 31st March 2000, Deputy Accountant General (Management) from 1st April 2000 till 20th March 2005. He was appointed as Accountant General of Malaysia on 21st March 2005 until his retirement in November 2010.

Currently, Dato’ Mohd Salleh is the Director of Institute Jantung Negara (IJN) and Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN).
